BENEFITS COORDINATOR

Responsibilities Include:

·         Administering the STD, LTD, Life and AD&D programs and processing the applicable invoices.

·         Assist in administering the 401(K) Program by processing associate loans, hardship withdrawals, completing the annual Health & Welfare 5500, posting quarterly open enrollments, and answering associate questions.

·         Administer the uniform program, safety shoe program, and safety glasses program.

·         Organize and participate in new-hire orientations.

·         Work with insurance companies, brokers and TPA’s in helping to create the best self-insured medical, vision and dental packages for our associates at the best price.  Research associate questions about their medical benefits and resolve concerns.

·         Create and maintain a benefit manual.

·         Input all benefit information into the HRIS system (Empower, through ECI).

·         Administer I-9 Program, Service Award Program, and COBRA program.

 

Requirements Include:

·         3-5 years of experience in administering an entire benefit program, preferably in a manufacturing environment.

·         Must be experienced working with a 401(K) program and completing the annual Health and Welfare 5500.

·         Must be computer literate working with an HRIS system, Word, and Excel.  Experience working with creating spreadsheets required.

·         Must have high school diploma; advanced education is a plus.

·         Must have a working knowledge of the federal and state laws that apply to benefit programs, particularly a 401(K).

·         Must have positive employee relations experience, have a positive attitude, and be patient.

·         Must have experience training associates.  Must be willing to periodically work flexible hours to accommodate a 3-shift operation.

·         Confidentiality with associate information is critical and absolutely required.
